Art Exhibition: Domestic Abuse Through the Lens of Creative Expression.
SHEWISE is hosting an event that aims to shed light on domestic abuse and inspire change within South Asian and Middle Eastern communities through the transformative power of art.
Derived from the ancient Asian form of torture - “Lingchi”
“A Thousand Cuts” is a series of portraits and stories of survivors that present a photographic study of patterns of domestic abuse within the South Asian and Middle Eastern communities. The metaphorical meaning of Lingchi showcases the cyclical nature of domestic abuse.
Join us at the London Borough of Tower Hamlets Town Hall for an unforgettable journey into the heart of an important cause. Through vibrant art, music, and heartfelt stories of survivors, we’ll uncover the layers of domestic abuse and honour the powerful journeys of those who have overcome it.
Be part of this inspiring event—connect with the community, celebrate resilience, and support survivors as they heal and transform through the power of creativity.
